Remove Paint Roller Fuzz
Nothing ruins a beautiful paint job more than those little fuzz balls that can come off a roller. This happens especially when cheaper rollers are used. The best way to avoid ruining your paint job is to use packing tape to remove fuzz balls from the roller prior to painting. Simply use the sticky side of the tape and pat the roller with it to remove any fuzz balls.
Prep Rollers to Absorb Paint Better
Did you know that rinsing your rollers with warm water BEFORE painting helps them to absorb the paint better? Try it! You’ll notice the ease at which the paint transfers to the walls.
Caulking Baseboards
The best part about a fresh paint job is how crisp things look! Be sure to get that clean look by examining your baseboards and caulking them where they seem uneven. This creates straight lines and refines the whole paint job!

Remove Paint from Furniture
Ooops! No matter how careful you are, sometimes paint can get on your furniture. No worries – the best way to remove paint from furniture is with heat. Use your hair dryer to warm up the area where the paint transferred to, then use a scraper to gently lift the paint off.
Wash Paint Brushes with White Vinegar OR Fabric Softener
Both of these substances do an amazing job of breaking down paint without damaging the bristles of the brush. Soak brushes in either of them (mixed with warm water) for an hour or two and then rinse them with warm water. Bristles will remain strong and smooth, ready for your next project!
